The game was well played by the Dwarves of Karak. The 4 double skull block rolls thrown by the Illini were irritating, yet probably didn't really make a difference in the outcome.

1st half, the Dwarves of Karak were able to keep the Fumbbling Illini from scoring. It felt like a reverse stall really, as I was able to keep them at mid-field until an opportunity to get to the Ball Carrier presented itself, from there on, the ball pretty much remained on the ground. Neither team was particularly good or bad this 1st half, KO'ing one player each--both of whom came back for the 2nd half.
2nd half, the Techies of Karak were better able to push the ball forward, and were aided by a rash of double skulls from the Illini. It only took 4 turns to score despite the snow. Again, the KAMU dwarves were able to keep the Illini from scoring, though it was more of a blocking game this time--very much aided by the lack of ball handling skills of the Hobgoblins (how dwarves can put up with such is beyond this coaches imagination*).
no new skills again--this team is really skilling up slowly--even for dwarves.
