Great orcs were playing tonight. I feared the ST5 and the ST4 AG4 blitzers, and all the guards, and the great troll, and the fast thrower. These orcs are pretty brutal, but maybe not brutal enough in this match.
Spinball chose to buy 2 new linemen (named by his children) for the match. It gave me choice about the inducements, and I chose to take a wizard. Babes or an extra apoth would have been nice too, but I like the wiz.
I receive in first half. The orc LoS stands hard, but the JU troll is surviving. Big problem. I have to move forward to protect the ball. I have 3 guys out in few turns, whom my AG4 cpomber who was killed but saved by the apo.
The nice and strong blitzers come back to steal the ball, but they fail, and my frenzy cpomber (he drank my healing potion before the match) starts being effective. 4 cas in the half, before being sent off.
Orcs use well their DP's, but Golgoth cannot die, and ref saw the foul against him.
I finally score with Dada, she becomes the 5th active legend of the team, proudly leading the CW's to the semi-final.
1-0 before the second half.
KO rolls are crucial: 1/2 for me (still a lino out) but 0/3 for Orcs! I start the half with 11 players against 7!
Orcs cannot hide the ball. The thrower came early at the middle of the pitch but was blitzed to death by the CW who was killed in first half. Another turn and the wiz are needed to steal the ball, Calcium catches it and runs to the endzone. The ST5 blitzer tries to catch him, but Dada finally scores the 2nd TD.
2-0 at the end.
At last my Cpombers fight hard again! Just in time, because those orcs were terrible! Some luck on my side, with the KO rolls and the cas. Spinball played well, maybe too greedy in first half, trying to foul my CW's instead of stopping Dada from scoring. But my versatile Chaos found the way to score and survive. I'm glad I've used my potion on Sov, he made a difference in this match.
Thanks for the match Spinball, it was nice to see your orcs in the 7th round. You defeated great chaos in the latest rounds, and other great opponents. Nice run!
