Big post-season implications for this Jan 1 game, as the 'Badgers were behind the 'Sons but within striking range in this 2nd-to-last game.

First half the LMS coaching staff was clearly still feeling the previous night's party, and played lack-luster defense, allow the Badgers to cage and stall with impunity until Turn 8, when they had a -2d to surf the ballcarrier - but they had also suffered from bad luck and bad RR management, and skulled out.

Second half, the Norse started with a misclick that threatened to blow the game open for the Badgers, but the Norse bash machine woke up, and they recovered nicely and soon looked to own the field for the tie. But mid-half a careless mis-position left a Break Tackle GFI blitz open on the ballcarrier, and that started more trouble. But there were simply too few Undead players to capitalize on the loose ball, and the Norse found a lucky recovery and had the ball safe again. Turn 16 they were happy to simply walk in for their score, and the last kickoff was meaningless - tie game, 1-1.

And that means the Midnight Sons take their conference, and advance to the playoffs, possibly seeded as high as 3rd, depending on the last round.”
