“That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die. - Alhazred the Mad Arab, "Necronomicon"
The crazed fans threw a rock at Father Dagon at the opening kickoff, killing him instantly. The Rotters of R'lyeh bided their time, luring the elves of Clan Elfy McElferson into their diabolical schemes. A close call near the end of the first half as the Elves knocked the ball loose, but stone-handed Nyarlathotep managed to deliver the ball to Tsathoggua the clumsy and we evened up the score. The second half the Rotters got their revenge upon the Elves. Graham Grottyhawk's foot delivered a 2 BH and 2 stuns while Yog-Sothoth recruited Fredrick Hottree to the cause. One of Graham's BH was initially a RIP on Roderick, but the elven apothecary managed to save the Blitzer much to his coach's relief. We managed to stall out 8 turns, but our final defensive setup could be improved. Still, Shub-Niggurath knew when to go down on the LOS and prevent the necessary chain-push.
Good game, and an unexpected result for both of us. Thanks for renaming Mormo for me :)
edit - D'oh, I just noticed Fredrick stole the MVP on his way out. Bummer.”
