A classic Finnfight saw the teams face off in a rematch of their last meeting, as both teams hadn't played any other games since the 100th game for nurgle. The game started out soft, only with the woodie apo being used on the st5 monster dancer. Nurgle try to catch the slippery catcher in their tentacles, and in the end draw out the dirty trick card custard pie to free them from the big beasty.
However, the fans did not appreciate such sissy play, and rioted to give more time to the nurgle counterattack. After a quiet first turn, a both down sees 2 linemen cas each other out, and this opens up the flood of massacre and mayhem. Clawpomb pesti injures one wardancer and kills the big one, and all hope seems lost to woodies. With a massive strength advantage, the nurgles push forward and draw out the wizard on turn 8, but the scatter is caught by a warrior. After a chainpush he hands off the ball to the rookie pesti who runs it in.
Second half looks like a wash, but the legendary tree holds up against several claw hits. Still massively outnumbered, a last chance blitz with a loner knocks the ball free, only to be caught by the BoN, who is stuck next the legend tree. But the beast is big enough not to get knocked over, and after a few tense turns of boneheading he hands off to the rookie who runs it in for a skill in his first game. As a cherry on top, j0de smashes the woodie oneturner for good measure.
Thanks for the game Jopotzuki, as expected when two Finns meet the games are always brutal :) ”
