#9 Grunon – Pinched Nerve (MNG)
Well played game by both sides...Dwarves got lucky un the 1st, but the opponent regenerated each of the 3 warriors that where hurt.
In the 2nd half, when everything was under control and all was in favour for dwarves, a rain of double skulls (x4) did ruin a good game and allowed Uusiverikulho to qualify.
all the best to my opponent, it's a bitter feeling to loose this way... Will try next time.

WO qualifier IX, round 2 game.

Game starts out with nurgle boys taking some blocks with damage skills and rolling pushes or not hurting anyone. Meanwhile in a true underdog fashion the dwarfs start cassing out warriors with rookie and putting pressure. Luckily all the warriors regenerate and are eager to come back for the second round. Soon the pressure is too much and dwarves move in for a possible 1 dice shot at the ballcarrier, but Boomer slips on the last GFI. This lets the pestigor run out into a loose cage, but he snakes the only GFI roll and knocks himself out. The st4 longbeard pushes away a rotter and picks up the ball, while Boomer seeks redemption by running in position for a score. A decision not to stand up and get hit by the massive beast leaves the ball open though, but again nurgle cannot find a POW. Still, it ends up with the blocker tied up in a st6 stand firm tentacles, so a score looks unlikely. However the rookie slayer pows the beasty and the blocker would have made the completion to Boomer if not for the disturbing presence, so it ends up a close 0-0.

Second half dwarfs field their runner and deathroller, ready to bring the pain. But nurgle have had too much of being shown off by the shorties and blitz to tie up most of the dwarven team and bring pestigors to threaten the backfield, with a good long kick on top. The hero slayer goes backfield to cover the runner, but a tricky play by warrior Vesikannu not using his stand firm secures a big turnover. Still, even with tackle the pestigors cannot seem to hit the runner, who is freed to run into an impromptu cage on the LoS. However the nurgle warriors muscle open the cage and Jopotzuki gets to go for a wrestle blitz on the ball, rolling a clean POW and making a big stun on top. Dismayed by this, the dwarf team starts rolling infinite doubleskulls for the rest of the half, letting nurgle surehands pestigor run in the deciding score. In the end even the hero slayer Grunon is fouled out by a dirty shaman42.

Thanks for a very up-and-down match delemedei. I think you were very close to getting the win.
