Dreadknights won the coin toss and chose to receive. Talion picked up the ball in the backfield and was immediately put under pressure by Choque de Reyes. A Blitzer got in his face and Draeke was unable to shove the offender away. Talion dodged away, scrambled up the field and made a quick pass to Emeyin. Emeyin ran up the right side of the field in a half cage where the leaping Robb Stark easily penetrated. He tackled Emeyin and knocked out the ballcarrier causing a fumble. Agile Runner, Jon Nieve, had a chance to put the ball out of reach but failed to pick it up in a tackle zone. The ball bounced a few times in DK's favor and Lucretia picked up the ball. She ran up the field to run the clock out and score at the last second. Unfortunately, Gannon failed to make an easy block (double double skulls) and ended his team's turn before they could score. The half would end scoreless to the chagrin of the Wishmaster.

CdR received in the second half but five out of eight of their players remained in the KO box including all four of their Blitzers. This left them with only eight players on the field against a full compliment of defenders. A failed dodge made things worse for CdR as this left their ballcarrier exposed. Judas rushed in to make a sack but was unable to make it happen. Jon Nieve dodged away with the ball avoiding the diving tackle expert but he had nowhere to go. Lazarus came to sack him and he dumped the ball off expecting to be taken down. The ball was fumbled and bounced next to Hubris Rakarth. Legendary Witch Elf, Malikith, stole the ball in front of the Star Player's nose and dodged away. He would hang on to the ball and hand it over to the Rookie Gaberial for some much needed experience. Gaberial would score right before the end of regulation to send DK to the XFL IX Finals!
