Kush's Crushers chose to kick the ball and, as far as their coach's opinion, that was highly determinant in the course of the match. The brave skeletons from the LOS managed to survive in the first 3 blocks of the evening, and the play quickly went into one of the sides of the pitch (the Up side, from my PO). One of his mummies was annoyingly entangled with one of those skeletons, keeping it away from where the ball was being held. That place became more and more crowded with players, until the very predictable crowdsurfings started. One of Kush's Crushers mummies was, in fact, in the verge of being 2-die-against pushed into the crowd, but in a twist of bad luck for the "Road to Rottingham", they suffered a very inconvenient turnover. In a couple of turns the egyptian undead had pushed 4 standard undead (2 of them 100% killed by the crowd), and secured the ball under a thick layer of players. The rest of the first half was a tight run with the ball, managing to score the 1-0 in the 8th turn.
The second half started with an apparent advantage for the Crushers, but some clumsy "sure" hands, a not very intelligent positioning of my players, and a quick depletion of RR due to too much "both down" results, almost cost me the victory. In fact, I did not manage to score the second TD because of that, and with some undead-ish magic and some dodge rolls he almost got me and drawed. Thank Nagash he fumbbled the last Pass he was attempting, as it could easily have punished me for my foolishness.
All in all, a nice game. Very heavily impacted by the initial cassualties from the crowd (but you know, this is a NAF sanctioned tournament. The crowd is wild and savage!). Thanks to Loki for it : )”
