We made one dumb mistake that cost us the win in this hard-fought game, but managed to look good the rest of the time. We won the coin toss and elected to receive. A thrown rock stunned Billy Goldtree, who has not been a lucky boy since he got Mighty Blow. We groundpounded our way past this, allowing a sack on turn 4, but recovering the ball with some ease, walking it in on Turn 8. Vegans' Delight took 2 men out in the Turn 8 play, leading to a 9-on-9 second half, with the Vampires calling on their reserves to replace Count Zuck. They had some good line-blocking and got the better of a Pitch Invasion, letting them score in turn 2 to equalize at 1-1. With only 8 men, we couldn't go aggressive and protect the ball from two Vamps, and this time we lost the scrum, but at least forced a fast score and gave ourselves a chance to tie. The next drive, we were more conservative, and got the ball secure along the sidelines. Down to 7 men themselves, Vegans' Delight couldn't pressure a stronger formation, and ran out of gas (and crippled a good Vampire) trying.
