“Diane, it's 11:43 PM on Tuesday, Feb 3, and I've just come back from the Roadhouse where Sheriff Truman and I had to break up another brawl. Diane, I didn't know a small town like Twin Peaks could have such an active night life. Or so many biker gangs passing through town. This group was as mean and nasty as they come, but we managed to hold our own. The game went back and forth on a lot of unbelievable plays, both the awesome and the awful kind. Deputy Brennan had a chance to be the hero, and did drop Dez on a beautiful open field tackle. Unfortunately, he tripped trying to run the ball into the endzone and the fans threw it back into play where the Buccaneers could easily reach it. In spite of some phantom interference call and apart from a single thrown rock, the ref and the crowd were almost entirely in the Bucc's dugout. In fact, the ref was in the dugout pulling himself a Bugman's from their illegal keg. Some days, it just doesn't pay enough to uphold the law. But you know I will continue to keep doing it anyway.

Medical Report: Had to call in Albert and his team when Sheriff Truman made one of those awfully unbelievable plays at the end of the 1st half I was telling you about. Of course Albert got him patched up. Unfortunately for Big Ed, though. But I probably wouldn't have called Albert in for Ed anyway, he was getting a bit slow. Those bikers sent Sheriff Truman back to the dugout later in the 2nd half with one of those nasty fouls I was telling you about. But you probably don't need me to tell that story again.
Financial Report: The fans must have finally been won over to our side, because the gate and the FF were huge. Which is good, since I may have exceeded my per diem on all that pie and coffee. A few games ago the team was looking flush, now we're thin again. Time to restock.”
