Had great dice and good defense the first half, stopped the score but couldn't counter-score. That was unfortunate, because the 2nd half started with a pitch invasion that took out 3 of mine to 1 of PC's and left me on my back foot the entire half. Also the dice took a turn against me and for PC: burned too many rerolls on easy stuff early and the orcs started breaking armor. But really, the coaching skill kept both coaches in it until the dice turned and I simply didn't do enough to capitalize when I was rolling well early. By the end I just couldn't but a successful turn together and the attrition tooks its toll. Winning the cointoss in OT sealed it for the orcs. But the double skulls in back-to-back turns for both of us was the icing on the cake of this very hard-fought battle. I'm happy to have given PC such a tough game and it was enjoyable to boot.
Good luck against Azure, and please draw these guys in the Warpstone Open Lotter ;)”
“To my shame i came over as moaning about the first half dice, as mine were poor. I felt i was merely chatting about the game, but mayeb it came over dour.
But the dice turned and despite expertly wielded Dorfs, the game went as Cavetroll describes and after two halves of midfield grind the overtime ball settled it. When the frst set of blocks left me 11 v 9 Dorfs it looked bleak for him and so it proved.
A really tough game, but fun. And one that coudl as easily have been lost as won.”
