“This win by me is simply not fair.

It looked "ok" at the beginning, but early in the first half, the goblins snuck through everybody while we were at our sticky buns. They were on the goal line about to score in t4 of the first, when fortune intervened, and double 2'ed the dodge.

New Flingland scooped up the ball with their HMP, and fumbled the first shot at shooting it down the pitch. They WERE successful, however, on attempt #2. A key KO of the open Halfling, however, led to heaving a new ball-carrier-candidate down the pitch, who landed safely, and picked up the ball, only to stumble over that elusive end line...

The saw, the entire time, was wreaking havoc with players, but not as badly as I had thought it to be. He was KO'ing flings left and right, but no serious damage. It felt like it though, as bodies just kept disappearing.

Bribes allowed some folks to stick around longer than I had hoped, namely a saw and a ball and chain, with some bombers making an appearance. The half seemed to be going well for Uedder along the bottom of the pitch, but the dice suddenly went terribly cold for him. I managed, albeit I TRIED to make it harder on myself with poor positioning and coaching, to chain push out the ball carrier, freeing it down the pitch. We just couldn't get it picked up and in, however, and the game went to OT.

OT was a bit perilous at the start. We failed to pick up the ball in the first turn, and sneaky goblins came barreling down the pitch to deal with me. New Flingland got the goblin down, and the HMP picked up the ball to scamper down the sides.

Uedder didn't have many players left. To his credit, he had two bombers on the squad that did not get ejected for one reason or another. He elected to put them in the end zone, and not move them. I salute you, sir, for playing it the way it should be played.

Just as the Flings were ready to heave a Hail Mary down the pitch, a goblin came and KO'ed him from behind. Sneaky git... We managed to move it forward enough to have a chance to score on t23, but the pick up just wasn't there. We held the opponent scoreless, but we also didn't score. The coin flip was favorable to New Flingland.

A lot of credit and props to Uedder. He dealt with my schedule. He dealt with my complaining. He dealt with some terribly 2nd half dice. He did it all with a smile. He's a lot of fun to coach against, and a very nice gentleman at that.

Then take into account not using the unbanned Bombers.
