“Diane, it's 2:40 PM, Tuesday Feb 17, and I've just returned from Twin Peaks High School. Donna Hayward mentioned that today was cheerleader tryouts and she wanted to give it a go. Nobody warned us that these girls hit hard and play dirty. I think both sides were confused about what the purpose of being on the pitch was: we thought it was to score TDs and look good, the Ting Tings thought it was to hurt people and break stuff. Both teams probably walked away happy, those of us who could walk that is. I held off calling Albert's team for most of the game because the injuries were of the Badly Hurt variety. Then I suffered a Pinched Nerve and couldn't move. I called him out, but he just remarked that I should be happy it wasn't a Smashed Ankle. Albert is normally very good at what he does, but he's lacking in the social niceties. Still, we got some good leads to help in our investigation into the E.L.F. standings and nobody was permanently lost. Next game we'll be very shortmanned, but Sheriff Truman is fully capable to manage things in my absence.
