The elves did not have a chance with the way the dice were rolling.
1st half, I did not deploy the death roller and tried to either get them to score quickly or drag it out so I could have a chance at some point. Dragging it out worked to perfection. By the time the elves made their break for the EZ, 5 of them were sitting on the sideline. Then when they tried to dodge away and hand the ball off for a TD on turn 5, the BC tripped and fell, giving me the chance to get the ball. I was able to secure the ball and get it safely down field for a TD on turn 8.
2nd half, I did deploy Big Rick. Elves continued to leave the pitch at a amazing pace. I delayed the TD for 1 turn just so Big Rick could foul the tree--which he Seriously Injured in a blatant foul (the death roller got thrown out of the game for it)...so I scored on the next turn. A Blitz on the ensuing Kickoff gave me the opportunity to get the ball (as there were only 6 elves on the pitch) and score a TD--though I did have to blitz and GFI 2 times to get there.
On to round 6. 3/1/1 record assures me of having a winning record this tourney.
