“Diane, it's 4:45 PM on Saturday, February 28th, and the deadline for wrapping this case up is almost over. Today I took Sam out to Pearl Lake to follow up a lead and we found some overgrown tadpoles. They were tenacious, and one of 'em tripped me up at the goal line. But once again, Deputy Brennan stepped up and delivered for the team. Second half saw a tough battle to keep the frogs out of the endzone (and out of the lovely cottages). It came down to an intercepted pass that Bobby Briggs easily snatched out of the air. Looks like the kid has his substance abuse problem under control. But I'm still gonna watch him. Sam and I then applied some Bureau interrogation techniques on a few suspects to get some valuable information right at the end. It wasn't pleasant for them, but that information gave me a few final pieces to solving the puzzle. I'm just missing one thing, but I think I know where to go and find it now.

Medical Report: It is my sad duty to report that DEA Agent Dennis, I mean Denise, Bryson was killed in the line of duty today. He... or rather she, was pushed off the pier by some angry frogs and drowned in the lake. Denise was an All-Star wide receiver in college, who knew she couldn't swim. Very sad, but at the time I didn't dare risk letting Sam tend to her. I'm gonna have to see if I get can some more inter-agency cooperation.

Financial Report: Another good haul in the evidence again. I scratch my head over the amount of cash and drugs that seem to circulate through this small town. And how the former Sheriff was unaware of any of it makes me wonder.... But Dale vouched for him so there must be another explanation. May have to go over those files again, or get some help from the Bookhouse Boys.”
