Don't let the TV difference fool you, this was not an easy game. The Tools made a misstep in the 1st half and coughed up the ball. The Sons of David very nearly capitalized on it, but an unfortunate bounce put the ball in the hands of the Berserker that had already moved that turn. The Tools were able to surf him, and Adze Stonebreaker was able to recover. It took him another turn to get it secured and out of harm's way, but once he did he was able to run it in. The Snow Trolls were getting lots of Stuns but nothing worse. The first foul was the best as it removed Rake for the next game, the rest weren't too bad. Pile-driver took an early exit into the crowd once the win was secured, but only a Badly Hurt. The second half came down to a double push that Pile-driver Pro'd into double skulls. This was followed by a Skull/Skull-Pow by the smaller Troll and I was able to surf Solomon. The ball was thrown in to a Berserker, who we promptly relieved of the ball. This was followed by several more blocks as other Sons of David kept catching the loose ball, but eventually Bradawl Moonbeard caught it and was able to break away for the second TD.

I had predicted different inducements, but I think coach Relezite made the right call hiring actual players. The two Loners probably hampered him more than he could recover from, so more Stars would have just exacerbated it. I'm happy to have not faced a wizard, but the extra linemen kept the Sons of David able to field 11 every drive. As coach Relezite said, the mass Guard was tough to overcome and the Fend kept the Frenzy somewhat in check. Thanks for a good game, and good luck with the team. Your run was way more impressive than mine.

My first Qualifier winner. Fitting it was with the Tools, who are also the only team I've won a Minor with. Looking forward to the Crown of Sand Finals.”
