“Your hands have gone looking for your head, my friend. They will both meet you in the afterlife

After a long winter break, the warriors of Valhalla headed south for warmer climes. They happened across a group of reptilian creatures sunning themselves beside a lake. The lizard folk challenged the Thirteen to a match right there on the shore, and we accepted. It was a hard fought match, the crowd drawing first blood with a well thrown rock. The Warriors followed it up with 2 more CAS, but the Lizards answered back with the first fatality. We thought about calling the medicine woman for Rethel, but he already had a lingering injury and though it didn't contribute to his death this time it was too early in the match to risk going without. Turn 8 saw the teams trade RIPs, though the lizards got the better of it taking out one of our Dirty Players. The Thirteen answered the opening score and it was tied 1-1 at the half. Second half we saw a quick snap but the kick went out of bounds so we reversed field. A lot of KOs, but no more CAS for either team. The jump up skinks caused us to score earlier than we would have liked because our cage had never really formed. But the Warriors of Valhalla held tough and put pressure on the lizard ballcarrier, adding another CAS to take away a scoring opportunity. Ahmed made an error not rerolling his last block, as that skink could have broken away and scored. Fortunately W'zap went W'splatt trying to get away for a pass and the Thirteen hold onto their hard-fought victory.

We will raise a glass tonight to salute those fallen today in battle, may they raise one back to us in Valhalla. And a special toast to Rethel, the best lineman the team has ever seen. We will miss him tonight, we will miss his bow.

Epilogue
This was Weath's 50th game. Instead of hogging the ball or demanding SPPs to help him reach Legend, he put the team first and handed the ball to Skeld who was in a better position to score. He's already a Legend with his teammates, being my first Norse player ever to reach 50 games.”
