Diane, it's 9:42 PM on Monday, Mar 9, and we've just come back from another fruitful investigation. We're still out at Lewis Forks. This town has a lot of truckers, and some of them have banded together to form a team called the Dukes of Disarray. 'Team' is a nice little term so they don't have to say 'gang'. These truckers play rough, especially the one called Doom Bellow. I don't know if he's their leader or not, but he's certain leads them through the scrum. I was playing this investigation very aggressively and it paid off early. But I over-committed on the last drive, and though we managed to get the ball briefly we couldn't get it to Sam. A few final plays on the ballcarrier but couldn't bring him down. He managed to get away with something, not sure how important it was to the investigation but now it will stick in my craw. Still, a fruitful search turned up some leads that we'll be following up soon. The truckers were nice enough chaps once the whistle blew, too.
This is Chet, room 316 at the Great Northern Hotel, looking for replacements.
Medical Report: Once again I opt not to let Sam help a town local, this time Hank Jennings. No doubt the site of his stupid smirk all the time influenced my decision. But really I'm upset that I didn't bring more help on this one because I never wanted Hank on the LOS. At least we can replace him and get a new Thrower.
Financial Report: See above comments about replacements. We turned up some major cash during our search and seizure.”
