“The goblins started strong, sending three elves off the pitch early, making them run away in fear. But left without rerolls, CTGFM was forced to score in turn 7, leaving Up High two turns left to score back. Catcher Colin survived a Blitz by Steve and managed to equalize before second half. Left without secret weapons and only one Troll, the rest of the team crumbled quickly. Despite popping out the ball several times, the elves had no difficulties to scoop the ball up again and only left CTGFM with a 1TTD attempt, which failed due to a deep kick.”
Thankfully a dodge, chuck and catch led to a level score at the end of the first half...the second half was one way and the win was won - but importantly much fun was had (and I think that was my first clear field!)
