The dorks knew they were going to need some sweet dice to make it past jean-michel's Rash, a chaos team with answers to all of Dorkland's strengths. First thing the team did was look for some extra firepower. Found a wizard wandering around near the stadium and decided to bring him along; in retrospect, the fact that he was swigging a strange fluid from a beaker should have been a warning sign. Thankfully, the stadium was having a promotion, handing out a bribe for each team on the first drive. The Dorks took the field to defend and things looked up: no men lost on the LOS or first few blitzes. However, Rash moved the ball forward easily, taking out a few men to put us on our heels. Tried to firebomb his cage but the fireball turned out to be a string of firecrackers that popped and fizzed but did no damage. Since plan A was out, we went with plan B: foul! Old Fitz, sensing the need for a hero, put in a perfectly placed boot that ended the life of Superstar Warrior Xanadu. In the ensuing scrum, Zipp was able to escape and put a little pressure on the ball, so that Feel So Good scored on turn 7, giving the dork's hurry-up offense a chance to shine. We bungled it a bit, but a fan chucked a missile that badly hurt the ST4 monster beastman and were able to get a few men in scoring position. Corporal Fastness made a clutch blitz and two GFI without RR to get in the endzone and the game was 1-1 at the half. From there on it was all dice: injuries kept piling up for Rash, nothing the Dorks did went wrong, and we were able to stall out for an easy second point. jean-michel coached his team beautifully, it was just one of those games. On to round 2!”
