Expats had to at least tie to have a realistic shot at the post-season, but the Nurgle bah, and some apparent favoritism by Nuffle, made it just too much to achieve. Expats jumped on an opportunity to pressure the ballcarrier Turn 1 only to see the Wasters bashed out of it, but still "encouraged" the score Turn 6. 3-Turn scores are not hard for Lizards, but a randomly deep kick, Perfect Defense, more bash and a Fireball that took out 2 Skinks shut that down, 0-1 at the half.


Still, 2nd half, receiving with 9 players to 9, Expats looked good to tie, but a Blitz! (and some more Bash) stopped that before it could start. Expats pulled out an amazing turn-around mid-half, with a BT-Blitz into traffic to clear the ball and a Saurus pickup, but next turn a snaked BT dodge stopped him just when he looked about to break free and clear behind a screen.

More bash kept the Expats down as they watched the Wasters grab the ball and stall with less and less challenge, until about T6 the Expats admitted defeat and stayed down - game over, 2-0.

Looks like no post-season for Expats for the 2nd year since their Season 2, but they escaped with all (non-rookie) players intact, and even skilled a Saurus via MVP - next season then, next season...”
