“We took some serious beatings in this one but doing just enough with the ball first half won us the match.
We split our attack with Swan getting the ball to Mercy and passed the Undead lines for our first TD.
Vargas the Drinker (ag4 Wight) then took the ball and we put some pressure on him. He dodged away but wasn't in a safe spot. Elves dodged out and Swan blitzed the wight down before benefitting from a helpful scatter. There wasn't much time left but a Ghoul going both down and ko'd led to our breakaway with Cleon eventually receiving the ball and just making it to the endzone in the last moment he could.
The Tomb Shakers then hit hard with 2 more Elves going out so we were were left with just 6 v 10 setup for the 2nd half. After a short kick we kept the pressure on and the Grinning Wight tripped up when he tried to advance with the ball from Ajax. Ajax also tripped up when rushing away. After that the Undead scored but the time they needed to get another was eaten up. We escaped with 2-1.
