Right at the start it became apparent that Nuffle was going to favor one team in this. The coin flip went to the Watchmen and they elected to receive. Boom! One block laid Howard out. Boom! Another shot sent Fred packing. A Smack in Da Face! was down to nine players and the opening whistle had just gone.

The turns continued to tick by with the Watchmen chasing Meatball around the pitch. Hobbled by a niggling injury and two bum knees he didn't stand much of a chance of outrunning the heroes. And the opportunity to get another player off the pitch was tempting enough for the Watchmen to risk blitzes against him. Eventually in turn 4 Dr. Manhattan leveled Meatball with a thunderous block, weakening his undead armor for good.

By the end of turn 5 both werewolves were off the pitch as well and the game seemed well in hand. Turn 6 saw the use of the wizard to pop the ball free from Dollar Bill, but he stood up in the following turn and handed the ball off the Big Figure. Big Figure sprinted into the clear and walked the ball in at turn 8, securing the first touchdown of the game for the Watchmen.

The second half started off with Elenor the ghoul lined up deep to receive and one werewolf returning from the KO box. Drizzle Grimjaw took the handoff and rode the sideline while Zladimir protected him from a blitz. Sally Jupiter took a wide angle on the blitz and with Hollis Mason and Ozymandias guarding the sidelines she managed to surf both players with a frenized blitz.

From there it was off to the races as Big Figure scooped up the ball again. He handed off to Dr. Manhattan in turn 4 and the looming chaos warrior walked the ball into the endzone in turn 5.

The ensuing kickoff resulted in Perfect Defense, which led to the ball winding up in the secure hands of Dollar Bill at the start of turn 6. A few superfluous blocks later and Dollar Bill had scored the final touchdown of the match.
