“The Lorenianna Evergreens took to the pitch to a hostile skaven crowd, and after losing the toss they set up their defence against the more experienced ratmen. Producing their training ground play the Evergreens reshuffled into a perfect defence on the whistle...and then they were off!
Both sides jockeyed for position before the skaven burst through the centre. Johnny B. Goode leaped through to harass the ball carrying gutter runner but the slippery rodents got away. 1-0 to the skaven.
With plenty of time left for the equalizer before half time, the ball was soon handed off to Johnny to make the equalizer but when Jordan A. Journeyman missed his block Johnny was left wide open and was swamped by the ratmen. At half time it remained 1-0.
Receiving in the second half Johnny was again quickly on the ball. The skaven, with KO's now beginning to take their toll couldn't defend and Johnny raced in the touchdown to set up the deciding play. 1-1.
On Johnny's orders the Evergreens defensive 11 charged the 9 remaining rats, whilst he blitzed and badly hurt a skaven lineman. Risking everything the ratmen tried to force the play and following a series of rookie fumbles and trips from both teams it was finally James A. Linelf who ran off with the ball to make the final score. 2-1 to the Evergreens.
