“Bloodweiser Stein Open Invitational I Final

A very tight game between two mobile leaping teams. Captain Moonbeam was the hero of the game, proving that it was the right time to put the aging Captain Moonlight out to pasture. The spare apothecary didn't do squat for poor Wolloo Jack, but the babes came through for us. Captain Thunderbolt was hit with a Witch's Brew in the 2nd half, but he never failed a single Really Stupid check (6 actions in 8 turns). Ironhide Kelly did throw a triple skull block and burnt a reroll on Loner trying to correct it. Both coaches played a patient, cautious game but the Bushrangers had the extra bit of luck when it mattered most: the score at the end of the first half and stopping the score at the end of the second half.

Footnote: the pass that Captain Moonbeam through was to Musquito, when he recovered it from the Slann after their wizard took it from us. The pass Musquito through was to Captain Moonbeam for the score. They tried to hook up 2 more times in the 2nd half but couldn't quite get the ball in the air (failed pickup, then a fumbled throw).”
