As usual against agile opponents I started with losing the ball to a Blitz kick-off.
Had four dice on war dancer to get him down, failed. Had another few on a catcher to get him down, failed that too and then snaked the pick-up.
Down 1-0 before most of the crowd had got their popcorn.

After that the hummies swung into action ko'ing a few elves, surfing a few more and gradually moving up the field and equalising just before half-time.
The elves started the second half with the ball and with six players. They were quickly in scoring position but a timely stun saved the score and the hummies recovered. A self-cas when the war-dancer failed to dance accurately made the last few turns a formality as the hummies advanced in a cage while the elves lay rooted to the spot.

A game of two halves for sure. A really fun opponent who took it all in good spirits, as well he might.”
