1st half, only a double 1 prevented the goblins scoring. I didn't use much of the blitz (only to blitz the chainsaw and KO him, then move back into position), as I didn't want to get too far out of position. Didn't press too much and the goblins didn't advance too fast, so it was a drawn out half. Eventually, their Agility 4 gobo failed to dodge away from Bigger Brush and I was able to secure the ball for a halftime tie.
2nd half My plan was to take it slowly up the pitch..but a 1db at midfield knocked the ball out and I had to scramble to get it back. But I did..then a horrible string of blocks on his surrounded and alone troll ended up with him not so surrounded and now able to use break Tackle to get to my ball carrier. I couldn't pick the ball back up on turn 7, and the goblins got several next to the ball for my turn 8. I did bounce the ball (by knocking the troll down on it) to get it in only one TZ, but my blitz of the lone covering goblin did not even move him (double pow/skull..but he had side step, so maybe that was a good thing in retrospect). Anyway, my only guy in range moved to the ball, picked it up, dodged, dodged again, and made the GFI for the TD! A deep kick prevented the goblins from even trying the OTS.
Red gets mighty blow, while White picks up block (man, I want to fire him, but Str 5, even with agility 2 and av 8 is not bad...)
Hired the Journeybeast so no loners next game! :)
