In their last engagement, the Underworld squad had humiliated his Chaos Dwarf team and left no doubt as to who was the better coach. Now, the advantage tilted squarely to the dwarfs.
On the pitch the dwarfs really needed three eyes. One to watch the Claw studded blitzers, another to watch the blodging agile thrower, and a third to watch for the wizard in the stands.
The dwarfs took the kick off but were unable to do any damage to the gobos they blocked. As the half moved along, the blitzer with the ball worked the norther sideline. The dwarfs had a clear bloodlust and left their ball carrier unprotected. The wizard did his job with a lightning bolt and the ball was on the ground. Fortunately, the Underworld squad was unable to properly capitalize. Yes, the thrower picked up the ball but he tripped trying to distance himself from the dwarf blockers. The stunned rat would be unable to stop the dwarf blitzer from retrieving the ball and eventually scoring.
The second half can be defined by one thing. A blitz on the kick off. It was poetic really as a blitz is what gave the Bloodsmears an unexpected defensive score in the previous title match. The dwarfs swarmed the now undermanned Bloodsmears. The trip of a gobo put the ball carrier in jeopardy from two slayers and a blitzer. This time the ball came free and Thunderer was able to scoop it. He would go in for the insurance point as time expired.
Kondor left the pitch smiling. Already he was deciding which of his teams would be the next to defend the belt.
