“I gave up..again. his team was only 60k more TV than mine, but had 6 more skills (and 2 more stat increases)... The only real difference is that I have 4 RR's and he has 2...but I ran out of them before him in the 1st half (and in the 2nd half I didn't really play).I guess that is what I do wrong..mismanage TV. I don't really know, but I can't seem to win more than about 35% of my games lately (32% in the last 190 games in BBox)---and I've won over 42% on Fumbbl...I KNOW I'm a better player than this, but I can't seem to 'prove' it at all. I get upset over lost players and bad rolls.. These things happen in this game..I KNOW that, but I"m not taking it well. I get frustrated too easily lately because I expect better from myself. I do have fun with the game (but not in games like this on) for the most part, even when losing...but I'm losing too much of late.....

(please, no advice. I've played this game since 1st edition in what, 86 or 87 when it came out..I know the rules,I know the strategies, I know the game...But I don't play it as well as I think I should)

anyway, rant over for now..lets get to the game report

1st half I notice that he has 7 guards to my 3--since I can't keep AV 9 players alive (before the game, 3 of my 6 blockers had 5 or less games..now 4 of my 6 have 6 or less), so I knew it would be an uphill battle. Somewhere along the way, I counted his skills...22 on the 12 players..while I had 16 skills on 12 players. We had the same line up (2 blitzers, 2 slayers, 2 runners, 6 blockers)..and he has 3 stat ups to my 1 (though I might have more doubles..didn't count that)...but he's only 60k over me.. well, i have 4 RR's that probably cancels some out...should probably get down to 3 at the least. Anyway, sure enough, things aren't good..but he's getting mostly pushes so it's not too bady...until Bam! Bam! dies and the apothe fails...next turn one of my 3 guards dies..then a failed dodge (4+) pretty much ends the half for me..I don't get anyone else up and they score on turn 8.

Oh, didn't mention the bomber's 1st bomb got thown back at him and stunned one of my guys..and the 2nd (and last) bomb failed to knock down even one of the 3 it could have.

2nd half opens up and I make a mistake, throwing a 1db instead of a 2db on his str 4 blitzers. I also make a mistake in RR'ing the POW/SKull into a POW. Still, it is my final breaking point, as I don't even move a player for the rest of the drive. The next drive I set up in the EZ except for the LOS. Just being silly, I dodge Nicholas off of the LOS, pick up the ball and long bomb it to Flasher...for a completion (the fans must have loved this play, as he also gets the MVP and Guard). Flasher, at 4 SPP's decided to try to get a couple of completions him self before the other team gets there...he gets one (to a longbeard...err blocker)..but in 3 more attempts in the game fumbles twice and the receiver fails to catch it once. (ironically, both fumbles were caught by my players!)

Buying back Chance..and I think I have enough for the replacement slayer.
