“2nd game, 2nd win
This one was certainly more hard fought than the rookie match.
After a short battle in the first half at the line of scrimmage, which included to attempts by the Wolves to reverse the field, Stromm managed to Take down Warlack who had the ball. One lucky bounce later, and the Dragons surrounded both Warlack, and Stromm who now carried the ball. Journeyman Blocker, Richard Clumsyorc then proceeded to foul the Werewolf, buying Stromm a chance to advance the ball. And then a failed block by the Wolves gave Stromm a free run into the backfield. From there, it was short order for the Dragons to stall out the clock in the first half and let Stromm ease his way into the endzone.
It seemed to be an easy victory at this point, as the Dragons set up to receive the 2nd half kick off. Jul'Olan picked up the ball as the Dragons set the line of scrimmage. The Wolves counter saw the Dragons take a serious injury for the second straight game, as Bran took a broken rib. This came a moment after Richard had clubbed the head of the werewolf Ivan the Horrible, removing him effectively from the game.
And then, all hell broke loose. Jul'Olan was knocked down and it became a frantic scramble for the ball. The Wolves managed to eventually recover, and attempted to score, but the Dragons were too well positioned. Still, there was no guarantee the Dragons could stop the undead horde. Finally, it was Flint who made the game saving block, as he unloaded a heavy hit on Cootie the Predator, leaving the Wight completely out cold, and the ball too far from the goal line for the Wolves to recover and score.
After the game, the Dragons presented Coach TheGreenWolf with a mithril helmet to honor his team's struggle. The Wolves had pushed the Dragons to their limits, and came up just short of robbing them of victory.
I look forward to the rematch, TheGreenWolf. Good luck till then”
