“We went at them hard, taking the blitz option on their receive, crowding their busy front line. Unfortunately, they were well up to it, Bully having to be recovered by the apothecary immediately after Mayku shattered his leg, and the rest of the big lads spent most of the half just trying to regain their feet. Of some note, Mumbles managed to nearly kull their Kullen, though their apothecary was also in action to save them the terrible indignity. Still, casualty, well done that little green thing!

They faked left, Mayku splashed a green one into a pile of red, then went left, so a double-fake, we crowded them well but missed the crowd serve and poor Dabbler was left chasing down their throwers and blitzers. Mayku put another Ogre off, Muscle this time. As you'd imagine, they scored.

Second half (against a proficient kicker, late equalisers are barely possible), Bully fresh from the apothecary gathered the ball, stopped to make plans for a while, then smashed strait up the middle and stretched them wide. With limited cover, and despite excellent work to break the green screens, Bully smashed past five of them to score. Not bad, short on numbers already.

A riot tightened the time on them, and their thrower fell over his own feet. Bully was rather short on the attempted quick one, but Tribbled at least took the ball just barely out of reach, with some thuggery by Thug finally settling the timekeepers mind. So a draw, not bad against such a long-running team.

The fans were disgusted, no one liked their apothecary undoing that snotling's fair kill, even with Brute and Mayku both getting more for our post-match pot.”
