“After looking for some opponents who would face us we found these more experienced Chaos Dwarfs so I brought along Slibli to help us out for the first time.
We received and soon Spartacus took out a Guard Cwarf James despite Diablo getting double both down and being stunned by the mino. That cas was the only bit of hurt we managed to deal out all match. The Cwarfs then put on some pressure. Santo and co got away to the other side but their claw Cwarf did a massive hit on our key Saurus blitzer Superiore, permanently damaging his leg. A huge and unpleasant injury. Santo raced off to score before we could be swamped.
Jerry the fast BCentaur picked up after our kick. Rio Grande and Superiore immediately got after him but he was freed with a chainpush and knockdowns. Spartacus and Pintxos then got at him but this time he (Jerry) dodged away. We reformed and it didn't look easy for the Cwarfs to break through but they made the gap. We then crowded at Jerry and his support players but the other Centaur pushed a skink away, Jerry did a an equal strength push on Amazonia, he then dodged once, twice and sprinted in to the endzone to score in the last moment of the half. Great work by the Centaur, we just couldn't quite make our pressure count.
Second half Jerry went to a flank while the mighty Barbarus was injured in a foul! The ref seemed unconcerned by the fouls done today. We then got three players on to Jerry alone. But another chainpush and blocks meant he was still ok. But now we could pressure them once more. Alas we didn't bring Cwarfs down and Loco tripped and was ko'd. Spartacus pursued Jerry and blitzed him directly but despite team training we still could not get that damn Centaur down. He then rushed off. We managed to get tackle zones on him but with a push on a skink and yet another 2 dodges he escaped our Saurus to score a 2nd! Somehow he had surpassed our wall of Saurii again.
Finally we set off for a final equalizer. Santo went around them with support but Jerry in the backfield saw one more chance for glory. Finally though dodging through 2 pairs of grabbing hands was too much and he fell before Santo got that final TD.
We couldn't quite get the rewards of our aggressive defence, including 51 blocks, here in a long match but it was still an interesting one.
