“Continuing on our way north, we met an ancient breed of intelligent giant frog. They challenged us to a game of bloodbowl, of all things for frogs to do, little knowing that was our game too!
We received, naturally, and smashed strait up through them, Castus killing one and Lydon sending another off for the game. Stand in the way of our freedom, will you? Caught well out of position, down a couple of very long legs, they couldn't stop Argon scoring, leap or otherwise.
On their attack, we left them a wing, hoping to trap them. Of course, their big ... slave, come to think of it ... tied up the cover and Barca had to blitz alone, which did not work. They scored. Not sure what I was thinking, really, frogs, leap, can't trap them at the best of times.
We had a go at entertaining the crowd long enough to let us score one more in the half, but things didn't look good after knocking a few of them over and we put on a passing display instead. The fans clearly enjoyed our efforts.
More study will be undertaken. Something all coaches should master!
Second half, looked like the ball was nearly ours again! But not to be, the ref through a spare to their Blitzer. This time it was Oenomaus taking the blitz on him, with an assist, much better planned, we regained the ball. Pollux tripped their return attempt, and away we went, only for their giant to squeeze us on the sidelines. We snuck out, Pollux doing great work again in his frenzied blows, but the ball soon came loose and it was never regained for more than a second or two by either team before being knocked free once more.
Time up, draw. Tied game, their fans disgusted, ours impressed, so be it. Westward we will venture, neither passing the frogs nor being driven back. Train for that quick response score chance! Also, remember to use the inducements! For freedom!”
