The game that almost didn't happen. First the Tools had no opponent due to a tournament glitch. Then both coaches were having trouble finding a day that worked even though we live in the same TZ ;) Then Glenn Beck's technological prowess was challenged by a wonky internet connection.
And this was not the game that either coach was expecting. The Tools couldn't break armor to save their lives until late in the 1st half. Then a pair of timely KOs allowed us to score. Glenn Beck saved the wizard until the very end, but the 2nd half was full of double 1s and double skulls for both coaches. The Tools had more of them, but Beck had the worst one - a skull, reroll skull to try and push Shovel out of bounds instead of going for the TD. I understand why he tried it, I just never do that kind of stuff because I KNOW how nuffle is. I also don't try passes in tournament games to try and get a Larson <cough cough>.
I'll take it, considering I was expecting to lose to something very much like that. Rake Sunderseam gets the MVP for not dying (at least the apothecary worked). It was a reflex save, and I regretted it as soon as I pressed the button.
