“We expected a tough game, and we got one, an Apothecary and Chef joining us. Their overwhelming crowd support lead to a pitch invasion right at the start, half our team flattened on the spot. From there they secured the ball down the sideline and it was all we could do to free it the once, everyone slow back to their feet. Our chef was well distracting, but luck was on their side.

They tried stalling, our lads going off at a good pace, but Post Trauma blitzed them over the line, gave us a fair chance to score before the half. No such luck of course, the kick was short and they blitzed us to catch it on the full. Devastating tactic!

In the second, they caught a short one right in the middle of our big timber, and ducked away with it! We freed it again, crowding the ball, Post Trauma again in action trying a quick pass, so close too, but wasn't to be, and from there they simply put every lad off the field but Leif and Clive, who were busy feeding as they played dwarf-swapping games in the centre. So 2-0, all that tackling skill hard on the boys, we were lucky to only have only two miss the next (Frozen Shoulder being saved by the Apothecary, and Cricked Neck our only wee lad to make every game so far will miss the next with a sore head).

Seemed like we were in it at times, but my voice was horse just getting the lads away from their tackling thugs, and the ball handling let us down from there. Tremendous ask against a big team of this sort though. Good show, chaps.”
