“Well, it was always going to be tough without Clive, but Amazons at least aren't too hard on Leif when he's on his own. Not that they're easy on the shopping, Casualties R Us proud to have given away 6, plus 3 returns in this match, though all one flavour is always somewhat disappointing. At least there's more on offer next game, right lads? Yes, eat your pies.
We started promisingly, trying to draw this coach into confrontation as we had the last game, with them covering the throw options fairly easily. Of course, once they got in, that was that, ball free, picked up in traffic, and few of the lads capable of dodging away to chase it down. When we did chase, Frozen Shoulder was out of position, and Post Trauma forgot to blitz! Gah, this coaching, so frustrating at times.
Of course, they took their time, Vinule piling on at every opportunity (and drawing a few fouls in the process, not to be put off), and our numbers were already well short by the time the second half arrived.
From there, not much to be said, we were short men, a Blitzer picking at the fringes, taking home top value casualties, Leif doing his best and grabbing a couple (including a near thing for their catcher Xesuse), but what chance to bring down a ball carrier and then do anything with it when there's just a couple of us left? Still, the important thing is customer satisfaction, and that we provided amply. Good job lads, strait back into then. Yes, more pies.”
