“Heading north, we ran into a lost tribe of Lizardmen heading south, our disagreement over proper travel directions lead to a game of bloodbowl, little did they suspect that was our plan all along!

They received, a wall of Saurus blocking for them, soon tying up most of our squad. We tried to cover their moves, especially whenever they fumbled the ball, but it wasn't to be with their power hammering our chasers and speed rendering any remaining cover redundant. Their ability to cross the field from wing to wing continually upsetting this coach's delicate planning. Not to mention those Saurus!

Several got to cover the ball at times, but none stood for long afterward. The score was inevitable, if somewhat delayed.

With no time left to score ourselves, almost like they'd been toying with us all along, we settled for a little bash. Turns out Saurus are also hard to hurt! Three times we knocked them over through the match, to almost no effect.

With our own receive in the second, it was a blitz from them, spotting a lazy field placement gap up the centre to press the ball immediately. A lucky bounce saw Theokoles gather it, and Agron in the clear downfield gave us a chance for a passing score, but it wasn't to be as the catch was dropped. Agron regathered with some support, but one Saurus is all it takes and down he went again.

Next thing, the ball's gone from hiding down near their far corner endzone, to most of the way back to ours, no one of our team having moved! They lost the ball again, none of them great handlers any more than we are, but their speed and power ensured our cover was cleared and that was that, 2-0.

The ref let us knock them over again, perhaps in memory of Barca, killed early in the match by their most skilled Saurus, Marcello. Little good it did us. Free we remain, but southward we must travel now, not our favoured direction.”
