It was a pretty easy match on paper, a wood elf team with 8 loners, a thower, a catcher and a +Str lineman. A bit sad that WE received 100k in inducements... We put it to good use for an extra reroll... Much needed... Dang, getting no cash!

We received, and proceeded to pound the elves before slowly marching down and scoring an uncontested TD. Most of the elves returned for the 2nd half, we offered them an early score but they decided to stall. We managed to knock the ball loose but they managed to -2BD pow a player, recover the ball in a tackle zone, dodge out and sneak in for a score... Oh elves.

We received, marched down and on several occasions had some scares caused by elves making multiple 4+ or 5+ dodges to land 1 BD hits, but thankfully our opponent only get block/skulls or skulls on those occasions. A tough game for the opponent who played as well as could have given the circumstances.

He did well setting himself up for a potential OTT at the end of the first half, but we needed to complete a pass surrounded by disturbing presence and that just did not happen.”
