“The producers decided part II was in order for our popular snow-fest against the horrific Long Haul Trucker monsters. Rain all day this time, for a bit of a change to the theme. Again, a real crowd pleaser, with all the wet-look action.
We took the ball right into the centre, thinking we'd punch through as they lapped us. Easy enough with a handoff, but with all the stinking flies distracting the catch! Xander never even saw the ball, and then we were stuck in the muck with the Truckers. Surviving the punishment, Xander took his chance and blitzed down their retriever, Buffy again leaving the show to the lesser lights for the day. The ball went back and forward, Willow shone for them and Xander tripping as he ran off with it, and not even snowing! More team training may be in order.
They'd have run it in, but we just kept knocking them over and eventually the rain called the half to an end. Cliffhanger again! Such good scripts.
On defence we closed the gap, putting old Dana off, but their little Guard helped take Willow off and down to three bit-players things got tricky, and next thing you know Xander ran off to sign autographs, leaving Drusilla holding the ball! Dawn decided to join Dana, permanently, and from there it was all mud-wrestling for the ball by both teams. They nearly scored, but Giles gets about well and took care of it. What a mess: muck, monsters, a ball on the ground more often than not; but the fans loved it.
Good luck with the Truckers Dana and Dawn, the rest of us really can't see the attraction. Perhaps they were dying to get away from all the bloodlust?”
