“Jesus H Christ what a game! Although it ended in a 1-0 victory after a turn 16 TD, the high elves paid for it. Their star catcher, the only player with two skills (blodge) died in turn 2 after failing a 2+/rr dodge. Even the apothecary couldn't save him! Not long after that (three turns in fact) another high elf, this time a line elf, was coldly and brutally murdered during a block. It wasn't until much later, turn 12, that another line elf met his end, but this time by a bloodthirsty crowd! Ouch! So for anyone that's counting (and if you include the apothecary reroll), 4 out of my 6 injuries were deaths!

In terms of actual touchdowns, the game started with a kick that scattered off the pitch because of a gust of wind, and a Tomb Guardian hungrily grabbed the ball. Only the Bony started a nasty grind that almost worked, but sadly for them fell apart on the last turn.

The High Elf offense was much more sporadic, with the ball constantly changing sides of the pitch to try to separate the slower, scarier Khemri from the rest of the pack. Finally, after some frankly sickening stalling, Clearly Thy Betters scored on turn 16. Time to get the spatula to recover what's left of the team..!”
