“Words can't even begin. Let me say up front that Joe excited the most technically perfect game of blood bowl I've ever been involved in. His caging was pristine. His attacks on my ball were the best possible. Only through luck did I almost win.
Half 1 I get a blitz and grab the ball. He knocks it free then gets a cas on a both down on his mummy. All that before I even took a turn. I grab it again hoping to stall but he is relentless and I score turn 3. My following defense was pretty good (I think at least) but he used this amazing 6 man anti leap cage to keep the ball tightly secured. I managed a strip turn 6 but he recovered it turn 7 with the ball holding ghoul 9 squares from the goal. I chain push the ghoul out of range and set up the best line I can. He breaks a small hole, then hand off dodge, gfi, gfi for the score.
Half 2 I know I'm outmatched. I think about stalling but know I'm going to mess it up and make a semi risky pass and run for another turn 3 score. His next offense moves faster than the first but I'm starting to figure out how to attack his cage. I force him to break formation to finally get a decent shot at a leap strip and cover the ball. He pushes almost everyone away turn 7, grabs it in a tackle zone and chooses to give me the ots attempt over risking another strip. I get a quick snap and manage to make 4+, 3+, 2+ dodges into the clear. Gfi pass. Gfi pass. Gfi fail! RR to the rescue,... Fail!
I learned a ton this match. Thanks for the game. ”
