Well, if a green thing didn't trip, Mumbles might not have had a shot at the passing record, though Thug dropped the catch it anyway. One of them muscled off, Muscles multi-block talent getting a try out, Bruiser away with it, and just kept going until Lola stripped him clean, but he got clear and went all the way. First score! Looking good, lads.
But then they had it, after a moment of unsure hands, Shaughnessy setting into the green things, Muscle confused about the blitz, Bruiser had to free the ball and guard it in the corner, too quick they got the takedown and scored anyway.
Even at the half, Bully couldn't break free to cover a deep rush by Kelly, they simply toyed with us, collecting little green scalps as they went. Thug couldn't block on the start, so Kelly glided through and picked up in heavy traffic without trouble.
Bully couldn't bring her down, and Bruiser tried a dodge for some meagre cover, but his knee gave out and the Apothecary could only offer to put him down. Not having that, he'll last on a dodgy knee a while yet with that exceptional agility. They shared around the spoils.
Bully couldn't pass for the brightening sun, and they got a last one. Our full-time show spoiled as Ribbit couldn't make the landing. Not the best day after a good start, can't afford to let these agile teams get a look it, keep it tighter, but with the team so slow it's hard work on deep kicks.”
