“The Pact started with the ball and had the full crowd behind them. They Advanced slowly with Zilgot Rimsson as their ballcarrier, and mowed down Vikings before the, but got into trouble when Zilgot failed a Dodge and lost Control of the ball in T4. The Vikings surrounded the ball, and as Targon failed on his second (Frenzy) Block of Fjatle, Fenris grabbed the ball and ran it to safety while the team bashed it out with the Pact. The result was meager, though, only one Pact player badly hurt, while Targon the minotaur killed poor Ganga-Hrolf (luckily my regen succeded). 1-0 at halftime.
None of the KO'd players came back after the break, so both teams fielded only 9 players. Fenris picked up the ball and ran up our right side, but the Pact safety got Lucky and badly hurt him (regen again) only 2 squares away from the goalline in T3. Pact now fielded 9 players vs our 8, and better players too (Fenris and Bjarni werew both out of the game), but Jarl Eigill took responsibility and fouled and KO'd their elf Zilgot to get matching numbers again in T4. Targon the minotaur took out Mathilda, but that left their ballcarrier vulnerable, and Ragnhildur managed to blitz him, and the ball was loose. Ragnar Targonsson then failed his Dodge when trying to og for the ball, and Ragnhildur could pick up the loose ball and run in our 2nd TD.
A good start for us. 2-0 and no permanent damage to our players. My opponent had problems with his big guys, and they failed in deciding moments, particularly in T5 when they had lost the ball and Targon failed the second Block, and when Regar bone-headed when they had a good chance at the ball in T10. ”
