“We were able to pull off an Unbelievable! draw in this game where we were in all ways outclassed from the get-go. KO's left and right meant we were short of rats for much of the game--to start the 2nd half, we could field only 4 rats, and I wasn't about to put my super-star GR out there as one of them to get targeted without support! So he sat out the score, leaving 3 rats vs 11 angry orcs. Predictably, injuries soon followed...

We opened the scoring early by showcasing the leaping abilities of FTL, leaping over the orc lines. They then scored 3 straight, taking a 3-1 lead with only 3 turns to go. FTL then showcased his pure speed, scoring in 1 turn and keeping alive the slim hopes of an upset. Now we just had to hope for a mistake by the enemy (thankfully by now we were back up to 7 rats, some returning from their dreaming), and that's when it happened... a superb kickoff deep in enemy territory forced the enemy coach to gfi if he wanted to get the ball forward enough to score once again. He tripped, and FTL was able to blaze deep enough into enemy territory to grab the ball and pass up to the top of the pitch, where stood 3 of my rats, including my thrower, another GR, and my rat ogre. (The other three linerats were down at the bottom, surrounded by nearly the entire enemy team. Thus, they were out of position to try to stop me.) My pass failed, but at least the ball landed surrounded by my guys, and all he could do was make it as difficult as possible for me to pick up the ball by placing tackle zones all around the ball.

Boy, I knew there was a reason I took BIG HANDS on my thrower way back when... Despite the number of enemies nearby, Rainbow scooped the ball up with his 2+ roll despite tz, then passed it forward for the tying score. It was truly incredible, death-defying, and...
