Tale of two halves, as the Raiders can do little right in the 1st half, and little wrong in the 2nd.
1st half the Immortals score in 3 turns, mainly due to Nobbla on the pitch (with no bribe available). Besides getting them to score quickly, Nobbla had little to no impact on the game, there were never any players prone to foul! A run of bad luck (seeing both Curly and White Shoes die in the space of two turns--Apoth worked on Curly, but the Coach did not deem it appropriate to use an apothecary on a skill-less Hobgoblin. Along with 2 double skulls in 3 turns, the Raiders were not able to stop the Immortals from scoring a 2nd TD. The final kickoff saw their big ogre, Alphonze, fouled off the pitch (BH), setting up the 2nd half
2nd half was much different. The Raiders started the half down players, but by the time they scored on turn 8, they had a player or two more than the Immortals on the pitch. When we can string two halves together like this one, we can actually win a game (game 1 vs Helstinki Horehounds for example)..but as it is, the Raiders are on a 4 game slide.
Curly and Matthews pick up guard...oh, and note that Matthews gets the mvp after scoring the TD on turn 8!
