Slitherpool once again had to play catch-up in a contest and this time they were able to equalize and hold on to get a share to the points against Rotting Hot Mess. This was the final match of the first leg of the Lumburgh Cup and these two teams, both of which had a chance to tie Corpsatron Rex at the top of the table with victory. However, the deadlock left both team tied with seven points through four game good enough for a share of second place.

Slitherpool was again unable to physically control the line and despite getting a good hit on ball-carrier HORNY GOAT the fumble was picked up by INSANE GOAT and he was able to run past the remnants of the futile Slitherpool defense. As the first half wound down SKUNKY wasn't able to carry the ball across midfield before the half ended.

In the second half Slitherpool went on what has probably been it most impressive drive of the season with SCRUBBY carrying the ball inside Slitherpool's signature cage running attack. This time Slitherpool changed flanks on four times until the speed of the team finally won out with a clutch equalizing score. Rotting Hot Mess had one last chance to full points but a fortunate kick in the the back left hand corner made the prospects for the Nurgle team too difficult and they would have to share the points on this day.

Despite the decent result this game left huge questions to be answered about this team. Outblocked 50-37 and not managing a single casualty has left some doubt about this team's commitment to defense, physicality, and overall bloodbowl-guts. ”
