“SLITHERPOOL FALL TO IRONBEARD CLANSMEN DESPITE STRONG STARTS

Slitherpool started with a quick opening score vs The Ironbeard Clansmen, however it wasn't enough as they dropped a 2-1 decision to open the 2nd leg of the Lumburgh Cup. All signs pointed to Slitherpool repeating another victory over the Clansmen as they did to open the Cup. The line opened a huge hole for LUCKY to run through for a quick score. BIG DUMB JERK opened the hole with a first turn casualty and it seemed that the the questions of Slitherpool's lack of physicality was finally answered.

Everything changed from that point on as the Clansman were able to out muscle and out maneuver Slitherpool the rest of the way. "The difference in the game was the play of RAMROD and BASHY they pushed us around all over the field." said Coach Crowley of the Troll Slayers. DRUNKENHEIMER and HAMSTRUNG HANK scored the two TD for the Clansmen who took their lead midway into the second half.

LUCKY who led all rushers with 40 yards on the ground had a chance to score in the last seconds of the match. He wasn't able to stay on him feet sprinting to the endzone and lost control of the ball as time expired just inches from the equalizing score. This loss was a huge blow to Slitherpool's quest to the Lumburgh Final and dropped them to 4th place in the table.

Coach Crowley, in response to growing criticism of lack of physical play from his side, has made a huge splash in the free agent market. The aptly named Desperate Remedy a Kroxigor has been acquired by the team in a last ditch effort to turn the results back on their side.

Slitherpool has only one point from their last three matches.

RAMROD and DRUNKENHEIMER were both casualties in the first contest between these two team. Their performance in this game served as apt revenge.”
