Our ball, Cracked Ribs gathered it, secure in our half, then moved up to the big timber as we set for many different plans. Of course, their trees handled ours better than ours handled theirs, and then Puggy ducked in and nicked the ball when our guard was down. Leif couldn't knock him over, Frozen wasn't game without the guard, then neither was Ed as he hunted their annoying little guard instead. Hmm. Might have fallen for that one.
The lads got a bit out of place chasing some useless blocks up the blind, and they switched into open space. From there we never really caught up, always a struggle even with our superior speed, as of course the only wrestlers are a bit slower. Frozen gave it his all though, but the Lad could do with learning to jump up a bit quicker, save some rushing later. Leif stumbled, as did Frozen, and they walked it in just in time, Puggy sprinting to the line.
We blitzed them in the second, but too many set aggressive on the line to do much good. They switched again, but this time we covered easily, Leif starting to overpower his opposite, but Ed busy feeding again. Then Puggy put Frozen Shoulder out, opening their path and their little guard made life too hard on Creaky Knee. Luckier Break held landed the flying cover, got an even blitz, but then they had diving tacklers and sidestepping blodge guards in, not to mention superior numbers both our trees feeding back at the half. They walked in the winner and only bought a couple of cheap cas along the way.
Speed isn't everything lads, but it's the only way to survive the rigours of the usual visitors to Casualties R Us. Just look at who's survived!”
