“SLITHERPOOL OVERCOME HOSTILE WEATHER AND CROWD IN 2-0 OVER HONOR IS ALL WE KNOW (HIAWK)

The snow flew through the air and Slitherpool flew on the ground as they beat HIAWK 2-0 in Lumburgh Cup action. DUCE CHEAPSHOT started the game by throwing a tremendous block on freebooter VINCENT DIRTYSTREAM which sent the Elf to the morgue. This began an absolute hitting spree for Slitherpool stunning, KO'ing and maiming HIAWK players allowing LUCKY as smooth sailing for the score. It was LUCKY'S third TD of the tournament. Later in the half as HIAWK attempted to run up the near sideline SCRUBBY was able to pick up a lose ball but when BRANDEN STEINECKERT put him on his backside the ball went into the crowd and the HIAWK supporter threw the ball toward the Slitherpool endzone. AXIOM picked the ball up and ran toward the endzone but QUADPUNCH put a vicious hit on him and Slitherpool was able to put enough bodies around the ball so the half would end with their 1-0 advantage intact.

In the second half DOPE SICK GIRL was carrying the ball for HIAWK but was blindsided by ACE SMASHFACE and Slitherpool was able to run it in with SCRUBBY. Despite slipping on the frozen ground and fumbling the ball SCRUBBY was so far away from the carnage of the line of scrimmage he picke the ball up and scored unmolested. The HIAWK supporters made an impact again as a rock was thrown at DUCE CHEAPSHOT, hit him in the gut and ruptured his spleen. Apotho SLY-ME was able to perform surgury on the sideline before DUCE met his maker. In the end Slitherpool was able to pick up a key victory that will keep their chances of advancing to the Final alive.

OTHER NOTES:

DESPERATE REMEDY made well on his expectation to increase the team's physical presence. He had a casualty and control the middle of the field.

SCRUBBY is the first skink to get a casualty for Slitherpool by Fracturing the leg of DOPE SICK GIRL.
