Crunchfight woke the team up nice and early for the big match
"Gentlemen, this is your Sunday morning call, put down your cigarettes and alcohol and let's go flatten some elves"
And so began 16 turns of solid defence, a wonder-wall of spikey news-themed malice that, little by little, was wearing the wood elves down. Gaps appeared, and like a supersonic jet, Roarwrath was there, grabbing the ball out of melee in the pouring rain, the absolute rock and roll star. With a deft handoff to Axeman, some might say the game was in the bag, but we found a way to go let it out with a risky stall, and unsuccessful pickup. We were outta time in the first half.
The second picked up with a couple of powerful biffs on the woodies, with Crunchfight inspiring his team to "stand by me, whatever the cost". With woodies falling down, desperate measures were called for, one wardancer deciding he didn't want to live forever, jumping into the middle of my trundling cage, and rolling a skull. With a slap heard all around the world, he died. The woodies could not face the sustained and powerful boots of Alagiaaaargh, and quietly acquiesced to the touchdown, banking on a one-turner to even it up. Sidestep put paid to that. 1-0
In honour of Spirou's team name, there's 17 Oasis songs in that report. I mean I think it's 17, it's all been a bit of a Blur.”
